The ICGN Global Stewardship Disclosure Awards (GSD) recognise investor members whose public disclosures clearly demonstrate strong stewardship disclosure practices. The Awards highlight organisations that show how their stewardship policies work in practice and demonstrate a clear commitment to transparency, reporting, and accountability—setting an example for other investors.

High‑quality stewardship disclosure is a core responsibility for investors acting on behalf of clients and beneficiaries. ICGN has long championed best practice in this area and is proud to recognise excellence through these Awards.

  • The Global Stewardship Disclosure Awards celebrate excellence in stewardship disclosures and are only open to members of ICGN.
  • An ICGN asset owner or asset manager may self-nominate a stewardship report or similar report to be reviewed against the ICGN Global Stewardship Principles.

 

  • All nominations undergo a due diligence review by the Secretariat’s office.
  • The nominations are then reviewed by the ICGN Awards Committee, which selects the shortlists for each category.
  • The shortlisted nominations include reviews by independent judging panels, which make recommendations to the Award Committee

The final decisions rest with the Awards Committee

Will Farrell

Will co-leads the climate change theme at EOS, the stewardship arm of Federated Hermes Limited, where his coverage includes companies in Europe and Australia, primarily financial services, energy, chemicals, and materials. Prior to joining EOS, Will worked in the energy and infrastructure investment banking team at Macquarie Capital, where he specialised in renewable energy. Before that, Will held a number of roles across the UK climate policy space, including as a parliamentary researcher for Rt. Hon. Chris Skidmore MP on climate and energy issues, and as a climate and economic policy analyst at a diplomatic institute. He was appointed as a voluntary adviser to Rt. Hon. Alok Sharma MP, President of COP26, on preparations for COP26 after co-founding a Westminster climate policy group in 2019, which engaged MPs and Members of the House of Lords to advocate for more ambition on climate action in public policy. Will has a Bachelor’s degree (1st Class Honours) in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
